Scope

This policy applies to the Cute VPN website and its visitors. It does not describe data processing inside the Android app — the app has its own policy, available in its Google Play listing.

By using the website, you confirm that you have read about the data processing described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Who processes your data

The website operator processes data only to the extent necessary to operate the site. The contact for privacy questions is listed in the site footer and in the app’s Google Play listing.

What data we process

When the site loads, hosting infrastructure may automatically process technical data: your IP address, request date and time, requested page, browser and device information, amount of data transferred, referral source and technical logs.

The site stores one necessary cookie (cute_vpn_cookie_notice) that records that the cookie notice has been shown. See the cookies page for details.

• We do not create accounts and do not collect a visitor’s name, email or phone number;
• We do not process payment data on the website;
• We do not request or store the contents of traffic routed through the VPN app;
• We do not keep logs of the websites you visit and do not profile users.

Purposes and legal bases

Technical data is processed to deliver pages, keep the service secure, prevent failures, diagnose issues and comply with legal requirements.

The legal basis for processing is the necessity of performing the action you requested (displaying the site), our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and operational and, where required, your consent (for example, storing the cookie-notice acknowledgement).

Data may be processed by hosting and infrastructure providers solely to operate the website, under agreements that require them to maintain confidentiality and security.

Retention

Technical logs are kept no longer than necessary for security and diagnostics, after which they are deleted or anonymised. The cute_vpn_cookie_notice cookie lasts for 365 days.
